Fall 2010 Soccer

This year is Evan's 6th year of soccer and Lauren's first. I'm very proud of them both and have been happy with the AYSO league they are playing with. Evan still enjoys playing goalie and is a good forward. Lauren is still learning everything, but is giving it 100%. It is so fun to watch Evan's age group because they are getting faster, and more competitive. Lauren is so cute because she loves to wave at you and is very nice to everyone. My Girly Girl

I love my daughter to pieces (despite the fact that she is struggling with drama and lying to me lately), but anyways, I love her! She is the most beautiful soul I have ever met. She loves to hug people, encourage others, is smiley and upbeat, and gets along with the boys as well as the girls. She will make some man a fine wife someday.

Lately, she has really been into girly things big time. I just recently bought her a pair of black dress boots to wear with her winter outfits and they have a heel on them and she just thinks she's something special in them--even her walk is a little more girly when she wears them. She loves to clothes shop and has a great sense of style and does a great job matching her clothes even down to her choice of panties and accessories. She also loves to play with her hair. This weekend it has been all about makeup. She saw I had some lipstick I didn't want any more and asked if she could have it, so I gave it to her but only allowing her to put it on when she plays dress up. She has been practicing with it a lot. Today she tried to sneak some one put some on and was wondering how I knew--well, let's just say the clownish red stain around her mouth gave it away! She had tried to wash it off, and it kind of smeared. Today she also painted her own fingernails.

Here's the funniest part of all of this...she was alone watching a movie in the tv room while the rest of us were busy doing other things. Roger was working outside and could see her and he saw that she had my tweezers and was trying to pluck her eyebrows! When he told me I couldn't stop laughing. When I did, I asked her about it and she said she was trying but just couldn't get any of the hairs. Oh my goodness, if she had been successful, I wonder just how far she would have gotten with those eyebrows, but then again probably not very far because she has no idea that plucking is not always the most comfortable feeling in the world!
