The third adventure the kids and I made it to with our church was to the Great Plains Nature Center and then to Riverside Park to play in the fountains. We had so much fun!!!

Drive-In Movie
We went to the drive-in movie theater last night to see Despicable Me. I thought the movie was okay, but the kids sure laughed. I sure liked those little yellow guys, they were so cute.
We took the van this time instead of the truck and that worked out pretty well. I turned the swivel middle seats around and sat in those with the side doors wide open to keep the air circulating. We put the back row of seats down and laid out a sleeping bag and that's where Lauren stayed all night. Evan and Roger sat in chairs outside of the van. I didn't realize when I took this pic that it appears Evan has no clothes on--he of course does, he was just hot from the temps and not feeling so well stomach wise, so he took off his shirt to cool down.
I love going to the drive-in. We did buy our own snacks to take and eat, but we also bought a few things at the snack bar; I think that is a fun part of the drive-in experience, too. We only stayed for the first movie, but still enjoyed our night.

Exploration Place
Every Wednesday this summer our children's pastor has been doing field trips. The kids and I have been able to attend every other one, and they've all been fun. Here is the first one we got to attend--the Grossology exhibit at Exploration Place:
